IT'S A FANCY PICTURE

Abyssus

A mostly story-based game with some small minigames. The game begins on day 1 of the character’s journey in his submarine into the mariana trench. Every day you have to go deeper in whilst trying not to aggravate “the creature” and fixing different parts of the submarine each day.

Core gameplay loop

Survive the days and make it to the bottom. The submarine's systems will fail and your job is to repair them without letting the creature get a hold of you. 

CONTROLS - Mouse left click

Minigames consist of 3 very not unique games, a button holding game for oxygen, a valve spinning game for the pipe pressure and a button mashing game for the engine oil. Losing any of the minigames means game over.

Creature

The creature has a hidden rage bar that builds up when the engine is turned on. When the bar is at a 100 the creature will begin “hunting” and tentacles will grow closer to your ship, the game will begin a hunt timer. Every action you make will make the timer go faster. The timer progress is indicated by the radar. If the creature catches you the game is over.

If anyone ever reads this…

I made it to the bottom, I've started my research and have found many new lifeforms already. I still feel that THING out there but I've managed to avoid it ever since the descent. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be returning home anytime soon but who knows… maybe one day.
